Cruise Information and Scheduling
What day does your cruise begin?
Our cruises usually start on Saturdays. At the beginning and end of the season, other start days may be available upon request.
What time should we board the gulet?
Boarding begins at 16:00. If you arrive earlier, you may leave your luggage on board while preparations are completed.
What time should we disembark?
On departure day, disembarkation occurs after breakfast, around 10:00 am.
Route and Duration Options
Can we choose our own route?
Yes, custom routes are possible, though flexibility may be required due to weather and wind conditions. Early booking provides more options for departure and arrival ports.
Can we book cruises shorter or longer than seven days?
Yes, shorter cruises of 3–4 days and extended cruises of up to 14 days may be available. Please inquire for more details.
Is it possible to visit the Greek islands?
Yes, we can include Greek islands like Kos, Rhodes, and Symi on your route. Greek waters require additional fees.
Onboard Experience
How often do we stop and anchor? How many hours do we sail daily?
Typically, we sail a few hours each day and visit 2–3 bays daily for swimming, exploration, and relaxation.
Does the captain and crew speak English?
Our crew has conversational English skills, sufficient for effective communication.
Can we bring our own food and drinks aboard?
Yes, for private cruises, you may bring your own food and drinks. We can assist with food shopping upon request.
Onboard Facilities and Amenities
Are there towels and linens provided?
Yes, shower and hand towels, as well as bed linens, are provided. Beach towels should be brought by guests.
Are water sports available on the boat?
Most traditional yachts come equipped with kayaks, fishing gear, and snorkeling equipment. Luxury gulets offer additional water sports like windsurfing and wakeboarding, which may require a small fuel surcharge.
Payment and Currency
What currency can we use to pay on board?
Accepted currencies include USD, Euro, Turkish Lira, and GBP.
How much cash should we bring?
Bring cash for excursions, meals ashore, personal purchases, and bar tabs. All tabs are settled in cash at the end of the cruise.
Practical Travel Tips
What should we pack?
Plan for swimsuits, lightweight clothes for shore excursions, sturdy shoes, a beach towel, sunscreen, and perhaps a sleeping bag for deck sleeping. Soft bags are preferred for easy cabin storage.
Is a gulet cruise suitable for young children?
Yes, children are welcome and can enjoy the family-friendly activities on board, including swimming in the calm Aegean and Mediterranean waters.
Living Spaces and Comfort
What are the living spaces like on a gulet?
Gulets feature an indoor lounge, a shaded dining deck at the stern, and a sunbathing deck at the fore.
Do all cabins have private bathrooms?
Yes, each cabin has a private bathroom, with varying features. Luxury gulets may have extra amenities like hair dryers and jacuzzis.
What type of power supply is available on board?
Most boats operate on 12V or 24V power, with 220V generators on luxury yachts. Charging for low-watt devices is available during certain hours.
Is there entertainment on board?
Gulets have CD and MP3 players, with board games and DVDs available on many. Luxury gulets offer HD TV and extensive media options.
